Jaylen Brown of the Boston Celtics is an NBA champion who has battled against some of the toughest players to ever suit up on the court.

But when it comes to the hardest player to guard, Brown had a clear answer, and it might surprise basketball fans.

“Marco Belinelli. Marco Belinelli used to light me up. He just used to never stop moving. I’d have to chase him around the system we had — all these different screens. He’s not even getting the ball, but you never know when he’s about to take off full speed, start running, and catch it. Just fatigued, bro,” Brown said, via Courtside Buzz.

Boston followers will remember that Belinelli scored a game-tying buzzer beater against the Celtics in Game 3 of the 2018 Eastern Conference semifinals, and that moment has clearly stuck with Brown.

He spent 13 seasons in the league and played for multiple teams, including the San Antonio Spurs, Atlanta Hawks, Philadelphia 76ers, and more.

He won a championship with the Spurs in 2014.

Brown is no joke on the court, and he has been able to move past all kinds of opponents, so giving Belinelli a special shout-out means something.

This season, Brown will probably have an even bigger target on his back because he will be leading his team in new ways.

Without Jayson Tatum in the lineup, Brown will be called on often by the Celtics and will have to run the ball more and be even more of a playmaker.

That means that opposing defenses will be looking to slow him, lock him up, and shut him down entirely.

Belinelli gave Brown a headache, but is 2025-26 about to present him with problems he’s never had before?

Stats Show How Dominant LeBron James Has Been In NBA Playoffs

No one has scored more points than LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers, so it’s no surprise that he has dominated in the playoffs.

But when you compare him to other teams, you see just how truly powerful James has been.

According to BronMuse, James has scored more than entire squads since 2006.

He has put up 8,289 points in the playoffs since that season, while the Portland Trail Blazers have scored 8,214 points collectively.

Meanwhile, the Orlando Magic have posted 8,118 points, while the Brooklyn Nets have put up 7,674.

James has scored more than all of them, as well as the New York Knicks, Detroit Pistons, Washington Wizards, Minnesota Timberwolves, New Orleans Pelicans, and more.

And here is something always worth remembering: James isn’t done yet.

There is a very good chance that he and his Lakers will be back in the postseason at the end of 2025-26, which means this amazing total will only grow larger.

At this point, everyone agrees that James is nearing the end of his career, but no one is quite sure how much longer he will play.

How many more points can he add before he hangs up the jersey for good?

James has become a playoff mainstay since the beginning of his career, and it’s wild to think that within a few years the league will be without him.

Fans are going to enjoy every second they have left with James on the court because they know it won’t last forever.

But until he retires, he will continue to produce monster numbers, both in the regular season and during the playoffs.

Steve Kerr Credits Career Longevity To 1 Warriors Player

Steve Kerr of the Golden State Warriors is viewed as one of the greatest NBA coaches, not just of his generation, but of all time.

But according to him, if it wasn’t for Steph Curry, he could be out of a job.

Kerr recently talked about his star player and said the success has has found as a coach is all because of him.

“If I didn’t have Steph, I would’ve been like every other NBA coach and lasted a few years,” Kerr said, via NBA Retweet.

Kerr came to the Warriors at the start of the 2014-15 season, when the team was right on the verge of true greatness.

That season would be a pivotal one, and by the end of it, they were crowned NBA champions.

Since then, they have won three more championships, and Curry has been at the center of it all.

The NBA is infamous for being cruel and quick with its coaches.

Some men come into the job with so much to prove and high hopes, only to be chewed up and spit out after a season or two of mixed results.

Kerr thinks that would have happened to him if it weren’t for Curry.

The Warriors could have competed without Curry, but they wouldn’t have been nearly as good, and four titles would have been out of reach.

As for Kerr, he would have been blamed for all of that.

Instead of being stranded and written off, Kerr has turned into one of the most celebrated head coaches in league history.

The partnership between these two has been wildly successful, and both men are happy to be involved with each other.

Celtics Given Unflattering Ranking Among Eastern Conference Teams

At the start of last season, the Boston Celtics were seen as the team to beat in the Eastern Conference.

In the season ahead, things will be very different for Boston.

NBA.com just ranked the Eastern Conference for the upcoming 2025-26 campaign, and they don’t have much faith in the Celtics.

According to Daniel Donabdedian, the Celtics are the 12th-best team in the East.

They are ahead of only the Brooklyn Nets, Washington Wizards, and Charlotte Hornets.

This is obviously not where the Celtics want to be, but it makes a lot of sense.

Things changed at the end of last season, when Jayson Tatum went down with an injury that will leave him sidelined for all of 2025-26.

But the hits didn’t stop there.

The Celtics then had a busy offseason, sending away stars Jrue Holiday, Kristaps Porzingis, and Luke Kornet.

And Al Horford is likely also on the move.

The front office is aware that their chances of greatness in the new season have dwindled, but they haven’t given up all hope.

In fact, they have been trying to save money and create a team that will be able to compete, even if hopes of another championship aren’t high.

They are attempting to keep on track until Tatum’s return, and know next season might be troubled, but they believe it doesn’t have to be a trainwreck.

NBA.com doesn’t have as much faith, but Boston is ready to prove them and all of the critics wrong.

The new season is going to expose a lot of issues with the Celtics, and it’ll be an opportunity for them to show what they are capable of when facing adversity.

Luka Doncic Is Drawing Comparisons To NBA Legend

Luka Doncic of the Los Angeles Lakers is easily one of the best players in the NBA.

In some ways, he is unlike anyone who has come before him, although others compare him to basketball royalty.

According to LakersMuse, LA assistant coach Nate McMillan recently said that Doncic is like Michael Jordan because of his “commitment and dedication to become great after he lost to the Pistons in 1989 and 1990.”

Back in the late 80s, Jordan and his Chicago Bulls were attempting to become the greatest team in the league.

But they had a tough time pushing beyond the dominant Detroit Pistons.

However, Jordan never gave up, dug deep, and helped turn things around for his team at the end of the 1990-91 season, when they overtook the Pistons in the Eastern Conference Finals and then beat the Lakers for a championship.

McMillan sees similarities in Doncic, and Lakers fans hope he’s right.

Like Jordan, Doncic came close to winning a title a couple of years ago, but fell short against the Boston Celtics.

Since then, he has moved to a new team and heard criticism from his previous squad, the Dallas Mavericks.

Because of that, he is more motivated than ever before and has a lot to prove.

Over the last several weeks, people have talked about Doncic’s physical transformation during the offseason.

It is clear that he’s attempting to put himself in the best position to lead the Lakers to the postseason promised land.

Will he follow in the footsteps of Jordan and finally achieve his goal of winning a championship next season?
